LAST ENTRY- REFLECTION

 REFLECTION

All in all I do believe that, technologies has becoming one of the most crucial part in teaching and learning during in the 21st century. Majority of educators and students in Malaysia nowadays relies a lot on technological usage.

During the pandemic that strikes the whole world. Technologies are the only thing that could keep us connected with those who are far away from us. Technology is also one of the reasons why students are still able to do their studies despite not being able to meet with their teacher physically.

However, there are some consideration that one must take in before using any technological tools to help them in their class.

1. Will it benefit the students?

Will the tools help students to achieve the main objective or will the tool make the student become more neglectful of their studies? For example, virtual spaces like Second Life is mostly used as a gaming platform. What if, students will get addicted to playing Second Life as a game and neglect their studies?. As a teacher, we must take this into consideration.

2. Will it affect students' health?

As we all may know, the main devices of the tools are gadgets like smart phones , laptop or computers. Will the tools take a toll on students' health if used for long? For example, affect the students' eyesight, or give them migraines?

Teacher must think thoroughly before coming up with a new method of learning. All considerations must be bared in mind to ensure that the method of teaching and learning will deliver the most minimum negative effect to both students and the educator themselves.

All in all, that's all from me. I enjoyed writing this blog a lot.
